Our Centre is staffed by a highly skilled team of professionals who provide community-based primary health care, in combination with allied and community health professionals. Our Centre also serves as a rural training model, providing a venue for medical students and other professionals for training purposes.

Community Health Nurse
Barb Campbell‘s role involves working with the physicians to offer a range of services including health information counseling, blood pressure monitoring, immunizations, well-baby checks and other services required by the physician. She also holds information and education sessions for various groups on such topics as nutrition and healthy eating; senior’s health; diabetes and physical activity. Appointments can be arranged through contacting the Rawdon Hills Community Health Centre.
Registered Nurse (LPN)
Cyndy Withrow has been an L.P. Nurse since 1985, a VON nurse for 10 years, and has been doing Foot Care for 12 years. She sees clients by appointment.
Cyndy holds Foot Care Clinics to help improve and maintain mobility and comfort and to help with overall good foot care health. The benefits of identifying foot issues and understanding risk factors before they become problems is important to most people. Clients can expect nursing assessment, nail cutting and filing, ingrown toenail care, corn and callous care, skin care, and basic foot care education. Expect each visit to end with a foot massage to increase blood flow and encourage circulation.

Occupational Therapist (OT)
Trish McDermott can help with the following services: falls prevention, home safety, equipment, home ergonomics, chronic disease management and wellness. Trish spends her time both on-site and working in the communities of East Hants to see clients in their home environments and to facilitate group presentations. Self-refer or refer a loved one. Trish is on site three days per week servicing patients of the Hants North area and is available for community services two days per week. Please call our Centre to find out more.
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), CRE
Holly Mitchell: services available upon referral by physicians in the Hants North area. Holly offers a Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) Education Clinic that is supported through the CEHHA Respiratory Therapy Clinic.
Biotech Orthodics
Brian Stoodley: services available one day per month. Brian sees patients out of the Rawdon Hills Community Health Centre who are referred by the physicians of the Hants North area.

Leia Daley Employment Counsellor- East Hants Office (Rawdon Hills Community Health Centre)
Leia is a graduate of the Human Resources Program and is originally from Digby. Leia enjoys interacting with others, particularly in assisting those with barriers and counts herself as both a leader and a team player. Leia identifies with others who have barriers, having succeeded in overcoming her own learning disability. She enjoys softball and many other sports.

Mental Health Services
Kristy Miller BSW, MSW, RSW is a Registered Clinical Social Worker. Individual mental health services are available at the Rawdon Hills Community Health Centre on Mondays and Tuesdays. These services are for adults, age 19 and older, who are experiencing problems with: daily functioning, anxiety, depression, trauma and abuse, stress management, and other mental health illnesses. Adults can refer themselves for services by contacting 1-800-460-2110 ext. 5526 or can be referred by their family physician.
