  • 2019 Application for Funds: Rawdon Hills Community Health Centre

    What is the purpose of these funds? Funds are available to support projects that advance community priorities (catchment of the Rawdon District School). The intent is to support initiatives to offer programs that address community needs.

  • Who can apply? Non-profit community groups and organizations that are registered charities with the Canada Revenue Agency.

    Groups that cannot apply are: individuals, for profit groups/organizations and, Provincial and Federal Government Departments. These groups may be partners in projects that apply as long as the applicant is a non-profit and the partnership is community-led by a registered charity.

    How can I apply? You must fill out this application (below) or see below about how to get a paper copy:

    When is the application deadline? Must be received by email/mail no later than June 30 at 11:59PM.

    What if I have questions about the application or need assistance filling it out?Applicants can contact Janelle Frail or Kathy VanderKooi at the phone/emails provided above prior to submitting the application.

    What are the typical amount(s) of grants awarded? Grants range anywhere from $250 to $10,000. Larger requests may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

    When will I know whether or not our application has been successful? Applications will be reviewed by the Board in July and August. All applicants will be notified by September 30th.

    When will I have to use the money by? Successful organizations will strive to spend their funds within 12 months of receiving it. Cheques must be cashed within 30 days of receipt.

    What can a grant be used for? To support your local organization for youth, seniors, and various community members, etc. to purchase materials and equipment, run programs or events, rent space and buy food, etc.

-In order to receive the flu vaccine, you must bring your Nova Scotia Health card
-Wear a short-sleeved shirt or a shirt that can be easily rolled up 
-Children under 5 cannot be vaccinated at this clinic

The Community Health Boards of Colchester East Hants and Cumberland are preparing to write their next Community Health Plan in the Fall of 2016. We want to help you make your communities healthier!

This survey is one way the CHBs will collect information about the health needs in the community. In order to do that, we need your input and ideas to help us understand the people in our commu-nities. The purpose of your Community Health Boards is to be your voices we need to hear from you so we can inform the No-va Scotia Health Authority about your health promotion priorities.
